The Board of Directors of Grid Corporation of India, at its meeting held on July 6, 2022, approved the following:
- Investment approval for Gujarat transmission network expansion to increase ATC: Part B of ISTS at an estimated cost of Rs. 4,546.26 billion is planned to be commissioned by June 2023
- Investment approval for Gujarat transmission network expansion to increase ATC: Part C of ISTS at an estimated cost of Rs. Cooperate with GETCO to build new 400/220kV Prantij S/s and 400kV Sankhari-Prantij D/c lines, with planned commissioning of 1,861,900 lines (currently expected to March 2025)
- Investment approval for Western Region Expansion Plan XXVI with an estimated cost of Rs 127.61. The downstream 220kV lines being implemented by MSETCL are planned to be put into operation (currently expected to be in June 2024)
- Grid Corporation of India and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has formed a 50:50 joint venture to implement the Indian portion of the New Butwal – Gorakhpur 400 kV Quad Moose cross-border project.
