PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi. In his address to the people, he said that a new history is created with this project. He also requested citizens of India to pledge to sanitation, innovation and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Before the inauguration, PM Modi did a holy dip in the Ganga river and performed prayers. He was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath when he landed in Varanasi and had a fantastic welcome from his Lok Sabha constituency. Varanasi’s Rs 339-crore project was finished in less than three years as expected regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Later in the evening, Modi will join in Ganga Aarti in a Ro-Ro Vessel with Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of several BJP-ruled states with him. On Tuesday, he will also address 12 BJP CMs and 9 deputy CMs where they will share best governance practices in their respective states, a media report said.
