During Wednesday’s Parliament session in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in the Rajya Sabha.
Responding to the discussion on a motion thanking President Droupadi Murmu for her address to the joint sitting of Parliament, PM Narendra Modi said that the politics of deceiving people has been crushed.
Modi also ridiculed the Congress for its claim that the country was guaranteed to grow regardless of who was in power. He stated that only those who governed on autopilot could make such declarations.
In his speech to the Rajya Sabha, Modi stated that the Constitution is not just a collection of articles for the Bharatiya Janata Party; its essence and text are also crucial.
Modi remarked that the Constitution serves as a guiding light for governments and added that Constitution Day would promote the spirit of the Constitution throughout the country.
Modi mentioned that this is the first time in six decades that a government has been re-elected after being in power for 10 years. He stated that the BJP-led NDA’s third term aims to make India a developed and self-reliant nation.
According to Modi, the verdict will propel India from the world’s fifth-largest economy to the third-largest. Later on, Opposition MPs exited the Rajya Sabha during Modi’s speech.
PM Modi mentioned that the nation is observing and that those who spread falsehoods lack the courage to hear the truth. He claimed that those who refuse to face reality also refuse to listen to the responses to questions raised in these discussions. They are disrespecting the Upper House and its esteemed traditions.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Dhankar criticised Opposition parties for walking out during the PM’s response to the Motion of Thanks to President’s Address. PM Modi emphasised this after Opposition MPs left the Rajya Sabha, stating that the Opposition could not accept the mandate given by 140 crore people to the NDA.
