P&G Hygiene Fall as Q4 PAT Declines 13% YoY

Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Health Care fell by 1.65 per cent to Rs 14,357.05 after the company’s net profit slipped by 13.12 per cent to Rs 42.55 crore on a 1.3 per cent decline in net sales to Rs 776.38 crore in June 2022 over June 2021. According to the company, the PAT was largely due to the commodity cost of inflation. Quarterly, both feminine care and healthcare business continue to maintain their leader category.

Profit before tax (PBT) declined 14.2 per cent yearly to Rs 57.70 crore, while the cost of materials consumed slumped 16.7 per cent yearly to Rs 210.71 crore at the end of the first quarter. The consolidated net profit of P&G hygiene fell by 11.67 per cent to Rs 575.75 crore. Despite net sales at 9.14 per cent to Rs 3,900.92 crore at the end of the first quarter.
