OnMobile Global Ltd said it had acquired a 100 per cent stake in rob0. Rob0 offers vision artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The AI company gathers, analyses and gives intelligent insights that improve in understanding user behaviour, advance gameplay and improve player retention, the company said. This investment by OnMobile is a significant step towards the making of ONMO, the direct-to-consumer (D2C) mobile cloud-gaming platform, after the takeover of Appland AB, Sweden, in October 2018.
OnMobile has appointed a team of product managers, engineers and marketers who are working on ONMO, which is based on three mobile gaming trends- eSports, social, and short-form gaming and cloud streaming, and is being beta-tested in three locations globally. “rob0’s low bandwidth session streaming and AI-generated user attention will be the main tool in making ONMO a worldwide success,” the company said.
