Workplace SaaS startup OneTab has secured Rs 28.6 crore ($3.3 Million) in a seed funding round co-led by LIT Fund and Orbit. The round also saw investments from a Singapore-based family office, SOSV, Sunil Kumar Singhvi, and the company’s founders.
The newly raised capital will be utilized to advance the development and deployment of OneAsk, OneTab’s AI agent designed to manage the entire software development life cycle (SDLC). Additionally, the funds will support platform enhancements, team expansion, and operational growth.
OneAsk aims to streamline software development by integrating all SDLC phases from ideation and design to testing, deployment, and post-launch analytics into a unified, intelligent platform. This will enable developers, project managers, and businesses to work more efficiently.

Powered by open-source large language models (LLMs), OneAsk automates time-consuming tasks throughout the SDLC, improves collaboration, and expedites decision-making. This includes important features like AI-powered code generation and debugging, automated testing and quality assurance, real-time project management and communication, and more intelligent deployment methods with actionable analytics.
In order to optimize software development processes, Saket Dandotia, Sonal Dandotia, and Alok Patil created OneTab, a workplace software as a service (SaaS) company, in November 2023. It solves the drawbacks of traditional systems like Slack and Asana by integrating communication, project management, CI/CD, API development, and AI-driven automation into a single platform.
OneTab provides price tiers based on team size and consumption through a SaaS subscription approach. Its in-house LLMs, OneGPT and OneCode, offer AI-powered project management, automation, and coding assistance while preserving data privacy through private hosting.
Indian SaaS companies raised $2.1 billion in funding in 2024, a 31.25% year-over-year (YoY) increase, according to Inc42’s “Indian Tech Startup Funding Report 2024.” Moreover, 207 trades occurred, a 5% YoY increase.
This financing boom was fueled by the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI), which has VCs aggressively investing in AI-powered businesses.
