As per the documents filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Tencent, Chinese internet major will be investing $400 million in Ola.
The capital from Tencent will help Ola in getting a competitive edge against Uber and also reduce SoftBank’s dominance in the company.
In a special resolution filed with RoC, Ola stated that, it will be issuing 19,08,143 shares to Copper Technology, through which Tencent is investing in Ola, at a premium of Rs.13,521.
