Some other gainers were Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd up 0.87 per cent, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd up 0.7 per cent, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd up 0.33 per cent, Indraprastha Gas Ltd up 0.13 per cent, and Reliance Industries Ltd up 0.01 per cent.
In the morning trade, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 495.37 or 0.85 per cent at 58467.99. The Nifty 50 index was up 150.7 points or 0.87 per cent at 17463.6. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 335.77 points or 1.19 per cent at 2859.90.76. The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 99.65 points or 1.13 per cent at 8885.45. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 2338 shares were trading high, 554 were trading low, and the rest 102 remained as it is.
