The Odisha government has provided a budget allocation of Rs 428.95 crore for the development of a large aluminium park in Angul. The decision in this regard was made at a state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
It also approved a new scheme – financial assistance for the development of the Angur Super Aluminium Park and budgetary support for the implementing agency IDCO (Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation). Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra told reporters here that the project will be implemented from 2021-22 to 2023-24.
Among other decisions, Mohapatra said, the cabinet approved a proposal to create a land bank for industry and infrastructure, approved grant-in-aid in favour of 24 private high schools and enacted separate legislation to establish a self-financed private university.
