Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised that no one can stop China’s reunification with Taiwan and affirmed the continuation of its “united front” efforts.

In his New Year’s message, Xi Jinping emphasised China’s goal of strengthening international cooperation, promoting mutual understanding, and building a shared future for humanity.

Xi reaffirmed that no one can prevent China’s reunification with Taiwan and stressed the close bond between the Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

He highlighted China’s commitment to working with other countries to promote friendship, cultural learning, and cooperation for a better global future.

On 28th December, China’s Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) announced an investigation into claims about China’s efforts to influence young Taiwanese to apply for Chinese ID cards.

The investigation followed a video revealing China’s “united front” tactics to influence Taiwanese youth through organisations and small influencers.
