Zomato which is an online restaurant discovery and food delivery firm, has acquired Runnr, hyperlocal logistics startup, in all stock deal.
The financial details of the acquisition has not been declared by any of the company.
With this acquisition, Runnr’s 1500 strong workforce will be joining Zomato, however, the brand is going to continue to function separately.
Runnr’s functioning will not get restricted on account of this deal and it will be functioning as an independent logistics company. The deal allows the company to continue deliveries within the food sector for other players also.
