WPI Inflation for the month of February comes in at 2.48%. WPI Inflation for December, 2017 was 3.58% and in January, 2018 it was 2.84%.
WPI is a price index, which represents the wholesale prices of a basket of goods. It is used to measure the inflation, the general increase in the prices of goods. It takes into account the price, but on the wholesale basis.
Wholesale inflation in fuel and power declined to 3.81%, against 4.08% in January. The Manufacturing product inflation was at 3.04%, against 2.78% in January. Food inflation for February was at 0.007%, against 1.65% in the month of January. The WPI primary articles inflation in February was at 0.79%, against 2.37% in January.
