UltraTech Cement has posted a 15 percent year-on-year increase in the consolidated net profit at Rs 897 crore for the June quarter.
The company had posted Rs 780 crore profit in the corresponding quarter of last year.
The company has said in a BSE filing that the numbers were impacted by increasing cost trends, primarily attributable to energy and logistics cost on account of increase in fuel price.
For the quarter, the consolidated sales increased 6.17 percent YoY to Rs 6,938 crore as compared with Rs 6,535 crore in the same quarter of last year. The Profit before interest depreciation and Tax increased 11 percent to Rs 1,798 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1,626 crore in the previous year quarter.
