The information technology group Tech Mahindra has partnered with the US-Israeli Comverse Inc to set up a research and development centre in Israel.
The financial details have not been disclosed by both the companies.
The president of Tech Mahindra’s communication group Manish Vyas said, the deal will help the firm to double its engineering business revenue within a few years by bringing the Indian company hundreds of engineers.
“Engineering is a very large part of our business but we want to make it even bigger. We believe it can be a billion dollars annually in the next few years,” he said. “Given the culture of entrepreneurship in Israel we need to be here.”
Tech Mahindra will be responsible for R&D and customer services whereas Comverse will be in charge of product management and sales, under the”strategic relationship.”
