Tata Motors which is the highly impacted company by the Supreme Court’s ban on registration of vehicles meeting BS-III emission standards has said that it might export at least half of its 15,000 impacted light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles (CVs).

The company hopes that for the rest, the industry will get a window of opportunity from the court.

As per Ravindra Pishaody, executive director of the company, “The stock with our dealers is (now) close to nil. The bulk of the 15,000 vehicles we have in stock is skewed towards light CVs. We have done an analysis and can easily export around 8,000.”
