Suzuki Motor Corp, the Japanese automaker has said that its wholly owned car plant in Gujarat where a total investment of Rs 18,500 crore has been aimed is going to began its operations from next year.

Osamu Suzuki, Suzuki Motor Corp Chairman has said that “As planned, operations will start in 2017… Our plan is going accordingly.”

Suzuki Motor possesses 56 percent of Maruti Suzuki India which is the biggest automaker controlling nearly half of the market of the country.
