On Thursday, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has said that it has elected the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, Sunil Bharti Mittal as its chairman in a voting held in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
ICC which was founded in 1919, is the world’s largest business organisation that represents the private-sector’s views to national governments and intergovernmental bodies around the world.
He takes over from Terry McGraw, Chairman Emeritus of S&P Global, who will subsequently become ICC’s Honorary Chairman.
Sunil Bharti Mittal has says, “I am honoured at being given the opportunity to lead this prestigious global institution and look forward to working with our members to ensure that we continue to play a constructive role as the voice of global business in formulation of economic and trade policies to support inclusive growth.”
