An order worth about Rs 78 crore has been received by Siemens from Power Grid Corp (PGCIL) to set up a transmission system in Bhuj.
The company has said in a BSE filing that Siemens, under the mandate, will design, supply, install and commission 7×500 MVA (mega volt amp), 765/400/33 kv, phase auto-transformers in Bhuj.
Harald Griem, Siemens Executive Vice-President and Head, Energy Management Division has said that “The project will boost the power handling capacity of (PGCIL) and create safe, reliable transmission infrastructure in western India. The project also promote environment protection as these transformers will transmit power generated from renewable sources.”
