A Qatari investor is planning to sell 5% stake in Bharti Airtel for approx Rs.95 billion.
According to a deal term sheet, Three Pillars Pte, an affiliate of the Qatar Foundation, has put up for sale through stock market transactions about 199.9 million shares in Bharti Airtel in a price range of Rs 473-490 per share.
Several Qatari companies, including its sovereign wealth fund, has cut stakes in various foreign companies and have been raising cash to withstand pressure on its economy. As an outcome of this, the Qatari investor puts forward his stake for sell.
