On Tuesday, the Punjab National Bank has reported its fiscal third-quarter results in which the net profit has declined 93 percent because of higher provisioning for bad loans.
It said in a regulatory filing that the net profit fell to Rs 51.01 crore ($7.5 million) for the three months to December 31 from Rs 775 crore a year earlier.
The total income were up at Rs 13,891.2 crore for the quarter ended December, up 7.64 percent from Rs 12,904.85 crore of last year.
