Mahindra & Mahindra launched India’s first driverless tractor,which was developed at its giant research facility in Chennai.
The tractor can detect and avoid obstacles and it can auto-steer. Its also capable of making automatic headland turns,automatic lift and drops and make emergency stops.
As per M&M, entering into driverless automobile space will be giving Mahindra tractors competitive edge in global markets.
Managing Director of M&M, Pawan Goenka stated,”Our tractor R&D has always been at the forefront of pioneering cutting edge solutions. Today’s display of the driverless tractor is another proud moment for us,as it opens up new possibilities in farming.”
