The US health regulator has provided its approval to the pharma major Lupin for marketing generic version of Flagyl tablets which is used in treating bacterial infections, in the American market.
Lupin has said in a statement that it has received the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA)’s final approval to market metronidazole tablets in the strengths of 250 mg and 500 mg.
The product is a generic version of G D Searle LLC’s Flagyl tablets that are indicated in treating wide variety of bacterial infections.
