Lupin has launched specialty drug Solosec in US. It is an antimicrobial agent for treating gynecologic infection, among adult women in US.
Last year in September, it had received an approval from USFDA. It’s the first antibiotic pill in the market to treat bacterial vaginosis (BV), which is the most common vaginal infection in the US among women of childbearing age.
Further, the drug is eligible for at least 10 years of marketing exclusivity in US and it is a single dose oral regimen.
