The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has hiked its stake in NTPC, the largest power producer of India, by 3.90 percent after buying 32.15 crore shares in the open market.
NTPC said in a BSE filing that LIC, that had 9.08 percent stake earlier, increased its shareholding in the company to 12.98 percent by buying shares between July 25, 2014, and February 24, 2016.
