Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the 48th World Economic Forum (WEF) today said that, the world needs to come together to face the challenges of modern world. Some of the main points of the speech delivered by him are:
1.He focused his speech on 3 main challenges that the world is facing: changing climate, terrorism and protectionism.
2.He stated that his government has chosen the path to reform, perform and transform.
3.The doors for foreign direct investment has been opened.
4.There is a push to entrepreneurship move, so the youth is turning into job giver and not just job seeker.
5.The government has implemented the biggest indirect tax reform GST.
6.There is an urgent need to reform international institutions.
7.India is destination for wellness, wholeness and peace.
Further, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech, International Monetary Fund has raised the economic growth forecast for the current year to 7.4%.
