JSW Steel has posted its highest ever crude steel production at 15.80 mt during 2016-17.
This has been 25 percent higher than that of the company had produced in 2015-16.
JSW Steel has said in its Annual Report 2016-17 that the growth has come despite a relatively modest industry and GDP performances. It said that the out is “its highest ever crude steel production at 15.80 million tonnes during 2016-17, surpassing the guidance of 15.75 mt.”
The company has said that “This achievement comes against the backdrop of a sluggish demand growth at 2.6 percent y-o-y in India.”
