JNPT which is the largest container port of the country is investing Rs 150 crore for installing three mobile scanners that will reduce the time taken for operations.
Currently, it possess only two scanners and containers take up to two days for passing through on account of the long queues.
Its chairman Anil Diggikar has said that “We will be putting three more container scanners in the next six months at a cost of Rs 150 crore to make the operations smoother.”
