New law of citizenship has protested and are spreading across the country, and the national capital was also signed. Jamia Milia Islamia University where three days of peaceful demonstration against the law, passed by Parliament on Sunday. The person who protests is torched by four public buses and two police vehicles as they clashed with police in New Friend colony, near Jamia Millia Islamia during a demonstration against the amend of Citizenship Act released on last week Sunday. To disperse the violent mob police used batons and teargas, but denied for firing at them. Moreover, police firing videos injured students in the university bathroom as well as footage of them bleeding emerged on social media.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, said any kind of violence is unacceptable and that protests should remain peaceful. “Spoke to Hon’ble LG and urged him to take all steps to restore normalcy and peace. We are also doing everything possible at our end. Real miscreants who caused violence shud to be identified and punished,” he said on Twitter. The announcement was made by Delhi government that all the schools will close in Okhla, Jamia Nagar and New Friends Colony areas (all in South Delhi) due to protests.
