IPL Finals to Happen Between 8th-10 Nov, as Per Council’s Decision
Governing Council of IPL (Indian Premier League) is contemplating to postpone the dates of the final match of tournament from November 8 to 10 and allowing its stakeholders to take advantage of Diwali week, mainly to Star India.
The final meeting is going to take a decision on 2nd, August which will give final shape to the schedule of tournament and the other arrangements for the awaited event, which is to be held in the United Arab Emirates this year. On July 23, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) well-placed official told that the eagerly-awaited tournament, IPL will start on September 19 in the UAE with the finals going to be on November 8.
Once the teams reach UAE, they have to undergo the COVID-19 test as per the local directives. The players will be allowed to move out of the isolation zone only if they test negative. The whole process will take 48-72 hrs and will be confirmed by the UAE government.
The final decision of the GC meeting after the next three days will confirm the dates of the tournament, and the Indian team has to schedule accordingly and have to fly to Australia after the end of the tournament from UAE, instead of coming back to India.
