The Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is increasing the output of its SUV Creta by over 16 percent to around 7,000 units a month due to strong response.
The company has launched the vehicle in July and has received over 40,000 bookings and is trying to reduce the waiting period.
HMIL Senior Vice-President Sales and Marketing Rakesh Srivastava said, “When we launched the Creta, we were planning for about 6,000 units a month from July to December but considering the response, we have decided to increase by another 1,000 units from September by working together with our suppliers”.
“We are sold out till December and we have decided to increase the output in order reduce the waiting period for our customers,” he further added.
