Hindalco Industries has reported a fall of 25% YoY in its profits for the March quarter to Rs.377 crore.
The company in the same period last year, had reported a profit of Rs.502.5 crore. Its revenue from operations, rose to Rs.11,681 crore, from Rs.11,026 crore reported during the corresponding quarter of last year.
Hindalco’s EBIT for aluminium business was flat at Rs.920 crore, while the EBIT for copper business fell 34% at Rs.329.1 crore. Furthermore, the board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of Rs.1.20 per equity share of face value of Re.1 each for the financial year ended March 31,2018.
