HDFC, the housing finance major, is going to raise Rs 800 crore through issue of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) for strengthening its long term resources.
HDFC has said in a regulatory filing that the company will issue secured redeemable NCDs on a private placement basis for raising Rs 800 crore.
It has said that “The object of the issue is to augment the long-term resources of the Corporation. The proceeds of the present issue would be utilised for financing/refinancing the housing finance business requirements of the Corporation.”
