Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has got a contract worth Rs 368.6 crore from IRCON International in Jammu and Kashmir.
The company has said in a statement that “HCC has been awarded a Rs 368.6 crore contract by IRCON International Ltd for construction of the Cable Stayed Bridge including its approaches across river Anji Khad in Jammu & Kashmir.”
According to the company, the project is to be completed in 36 months.
The statement further said that “This bridge will connect tunnel T2 and T3 on Katra-Banihal Section of Udhampur, Srinagar, Baramulla Rail Link project. The total length of the bridge is 473.25 m including its approaches across river Anji Khad. With a 290 meter long main span, this will be the longest cable stayed bridge for Indian Railways.”
