Grasim Industries has reported 17.4% decrease in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 31,2017, at Rs.786.9 crore. Last year, in the same quarter it had reported a net profit of Rs.952.3 crore.
Revenue for the company was up 77.8% at Rs.15,291 crore, as against Rs.8,601 crore. On standalone basis, the company has reported 43% increase in its net profit at Rs.474 crore and revenue was up 75.3% at Rs.4,428.3 crore.
Moreover, the company in its board meeting held on February 13, has given approval to the brownfield expansion of VSF capacity at Vilayat (Gujarat) for a cash capex commitment of Rs.3,523 crore.
