Gilead Sciences, a research based company aims to set up a manufacturing unit in the proposed ‘Pharma City’.
According to a press statement that has been issued by the Telangana government, Senior Director, South East Asia and Pacific, Aaron Brinkworth and Director, Government Affairs-Asia, Claudio Lillienfeld of Gilead Science met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in camp office along with their team.
It said that “Gilead seeks to improve the care of millions of patients living with life-threatening diseases around the world. It has its presence in Telangana also. The company expressed its intention to participate in the healthcare initiatives of state government and desires to establish its unit in the proposed pharma city near Hyderabad”.
It further said that responding to the team’s request, the CM explained about the Single Window Industrial Policy of the state and presented them with a copy of the policy document.
