Flipkart Wholesale Launches Digital B2B Platform for Kiranas and MSMEs

Flipkart Wholesale, the digital B2B marketplace of Flipkart Group on Wednesday, had launched a digital platform for kiranas and local MSMEs(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) aiming to connect local manufacturers with retailers and to bring down the entire wholesale marketplace on technology.

The Walmart-owned, Flipkart Wholesale had entered the B2B Wholesale sector with the fashion category, and the platform would enable the onboarding of 50 brands with more than 250 local manufacturers in the coming days. It aims to rope in over 300 strategic partners with more than 2 lakh listings in just two months and by the end of this year, it also plans to expand its Home & Kitchen and Grocery category in more than 20 cities.

The company is an official release said, “Flipkart Wholesale is a one-stop solution for the retail ecosystem which will offer Indian businesses a wide selection of products at a significant value, powered by technology and to grow their business. The platform is currently available for fashion retailers, especially footwear and apparel, in Gurugram, Delhi and Bengaluru, with plans to expand to Mumbai as well”.

The launching of the digital platform comes after the acquisition of Future Group’s retail and wholesale business by Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd(RRVL). The company said the customers will have easy access to the credit facility to manage their cash flow and a wide range of quality products assured by Flipkart and will be listed on the platform. Simple, convenient and speedy product delivery directly from their stores and order returns tracking facility will be provided for enhancing customer’s experience, company added.
