Energy Efficiency Services Ltd ( EESL), the state-owned service has signed an initial pact with BSNL for installing charging stations for electric vehicles. EESL will setup public EV charging station at 1,000 BSNL sites in a phased manner across the country, according to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), mention in the statement of EESL. EESL will make the entire upfront investment on the services pertaining to the MoU, along with the operation and maintenance of the charging infrastructure by using qualified personnel.
All charging infrastructure, space and power connection would providing by PSU BSNL and also would be responsible for it. Taking forward the vision of the National Electric Mobility Programme, EESL has commissioned 300 AC and 170 DC chargers across India. Till date, 66 public charging points are operational in Delhi-NCR. To access with low cost of funds, the most competitive project cost is to discover this. The sustainable business model has established by EESL, which makes EVs affordable for the end-consumers.
