Edelweiss Mutual Fund seeks SEBI approval for small cap fund

Edelweiss Mutual Fund has sought approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI), to launch Edelweiss Small Cap Fund.

It is an open-ended scheme investing in small-cap stocks. It will invest at least 65% of its fund in equity and equity-related instruments of small cap companies, while up to 35% will be invested in companies other than small cap companies. Moreover, it also has the provision to invest up to 35% of its assets in debt and money market instruments.
