Bengaluru’s first ATM which accepts Aadhaar number and Aadhaar fingerprint (biometric) instead of ATM/Debit Card and PIN for dispensing cash has been launched by DCB Bank.
Nandan Nilekani, the former Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India had launched the “cardless and PIN less” ATM.
Nilekani has said that “I am delighted that DCB Bank is launching an Aadhaar based ATM in Bengaluru, the first such facility in the city. I am confident that the ATM will provide Aadhaar holders a convenient way to withdraw cash.”
