Cochin Shipyard Limited, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with United Shipbuilding Corporation, Russia. It is to collaborate and engage in design, development and execution of high-end, state of art vessels for inland and coastal waterways.
Both companies has associated for development of high speed vessels, river/sea cargo vessels, passenger vessels, hovercrafts and other watercrafts primarily for Indian waterways.
Further, the MoU was signed between Madhu S Nair, chairman & MD, Cochin Shipyard Limited and Alexey Rakhmanov, President, United Shipbuilding Corporation, which was in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Union Shipping Minister.
