Suzlon Group has said that it has entered into an agreement with CLP India for a 100 mw solar project at Veltoor in Telangana.
As per the agreement signed between CLP India and Suzlon, CLP India has acquired 49 percent stake in SE Solar, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set-up by Suzlon.
The company has said in a statement that CLP India, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based power company CLP, has the option to acquire the remaining 51 percent in future.
This 100 mw project will be Suzlon’s first venture in the solar energy sector.
