The Competition Commission of India has rejected all the allegations of unfair business practices that were made against Daimler Financial Services and Mercedes Benz India with respect to lease financing of a luxury car.
The complaint had been entered into a lease financing agreement with Daimler Financial Services India Pvt Ltd for availing the services of a Mercedes-Benz GL 350 model vehicle.
It had been alleged that in the leasing agreement certain clauses were abusive.
The regulator, rejecting the allegations, said that since Daimler Financial Services is not a dominant player in the relevant market, question of alleged “abusive conduct” by it does not arise.
