BHEL said that it has got an order worth Rs 2,759 crore to set up a unit of super critical thermal power project in Tamil Nadu.
BHEL said in a statement that “Significantly, this will be the first ever 800 MW supercritical set based power plant in the state.”
The project worth Rs 2,759 crore, the main plant package contract for the 1*800 MW North Chennai Supercritical TPS Stage III, has been placed on BHEL by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO).
The commissioning of this project will be done by August 2019.
