On Friday, the state run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) said that it has commissioned a 500 MW Unit of NTPC’s Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station in Madhya Pradesh.
The company said in a regulatory filing, “Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has added one more coal-based power plant to the grid by successfully commissioning the 500 MW Unit-l3 of Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station (STPS), Stage-V of NTPC.”
It further said that the project is located in Vindhyanagar in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh.
