BHEL has bagged an order for renovation and modernization of electrostatic precipitators (ESPs), at Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Station (STPS) in Bihar, worth Rs.215 crore.
Under the contract, BHEL’s work will comprise of design, engineering, manufacture, supply and commissioning of the ESPs to bring down the SPM emission to the stipulated level for all the 4 units of Kahalgaon STPS, Stage-1.
Further, the equipment for the project will come from Bhel’s units located at Ranipet and Bhopal, while the execution on site will be done by Power Sector Eastern Region.
