On Wednesday, the largest mobile operator of the country, Bharti Airtel has acquired a wireless broadband firm Augere’s India operations.
This move of the company will be helping the it to expand its 4G presence in the country.
The deal value has not been disclosed by company.
Bharti Airtel’s 4G services with this acquisition, will be available in over 300 cities and towns.
Bharti Airtel said in a statement that “It has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent equity stake in Augere Wireless Broadband India Pvt Ltd”.
“Upon acquisition, Augere will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel. The acquisition is subject to necessary statutory and regulatory approvals,” it said.
