Bajaj Auto has posted a 18 percent decline in the total sales in January at 2,41,917 units as compared to 2,93,939 units of the same month of last year.
The company has said in a regulatory filing that the Motorcycle sales during the month decreased by 16 percent to 2,11,824 units from 2,52,988 units in January 2016.
The sales of its commercial vehicle stood at 30,093 units during the month under review as against 40,951 units in the previous year, which is down 27 percent.
Moreover, the exports were at 1,06,729 units as compared to 1,32,069 units in January 2016, down 19 percent.
