Ashok Leyland has posted a 30 percent decline in its total sales at 7,083 units for the month of April.
During the same month of last year, the company has sold 10,182 units.
It said in a statement that the sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles has been declined by 43 percent to 4,525 units last month as compared to 7,873 units of the year ago period.
It added that the light commercial vehicle sales increased by 11 percent to 2,558 units against 2,309 in April last year.
