The public sector lender Andhra Bank has reduced its base rate by 25 basis points (bps) to 9.75 percent with effect from today, i.e., September 29.
A bank can’t lend below this minimum rate to the consumers.
After the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has cut the repo rate by 50 bps, Andhra Bank is the first bank to cut its base rate.
