NBCC Arm Wins Rs 440 Crore Medical Projects, Shares Fall 2%

The company will design, supply, and install a rooftop solar system at the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand.

Shares of NBCC Ltd. dropped by almost 2% after touching a day’s high of Rs 190.34 on 30 July, despite the company announcing that its subsidiary recently won projects worth Rs 443.61 crore from the Maharashtra government’s Medical Education and Ayush Department.

A new government medical college with an intake of 100 will be built as part of the Rs 403.89 crore project in Parbhani, while the other Rs 39.72 crore project includes a residential hostel for physicians and interns at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sarvopchar Rugnalaya, Solapur.

Yesterday, the company announced its subsidiary won a Rs 411.45 crore order to build a government medical college and hospital in Maharashtra.

The company announced in a stock exchange filing that its subsidiary, HSCC Ltd., secured a new project. 

The project was commissioned by the Medical Education and Ayush Department of Maharashtra and involves building a government medical college and hospital in Buldhana.

This initiative is an essential part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure and medical education in the region.

The market capitalisation of the firm has dropped to Rs 33,300 crore.

The stock has soared 20.79% in one month, 48.71% in three months, and 308.86% in one year. 

At 3:30 PM, the shares of NBCC Ltd. closed 1.63% lower at Rs 184.55 on BSE.
